When you blow air through a wind instrument without using lip movements or voice, the air produces a sound that reminds of white noise. By using the oral cavity it is possible to alter this noise, and thus changing the character of the timbre. In the examples in this part three variations of this sound is presented, together with an example from Karsten Brustad’s composition WRSH.
